In fact, I look to the 30s, 40s Hollywood portraiture and the Renaissance period with Botticelli, da Vinci, Donatello, Michelangelo et al. as a source of inspiration conveying an image. I'm often told that I photograph more than the person but how they see themselves. I'd like to believe that. I want my images to cause a pause.
